The car park opposite the St Cyrus National Nature Reserve is the starting point for some excellent coastal walks, there are Toilets next to the Visitor Centre, from the car park cross the single track road and join the long boardwalk that takes you over low lying marshy ground and onto the beach, as you join the beach you want to go left, that puts the sea on your right side, if it is a warm day this is where you can take your shoes and socks off and have a 2 mile paddle to the far end of the beach, if it's too cold just walk along the beach, there is always lots of driftwood on this beach and it's an ideal place for kids of all ages playing, as you reach the end of the beach you will see a white cottage on top of the cliffs, there is a yellow sign showing the steep path to the cliff top walk, if you want to stay at sea level there is a lower path at this point which takes you back along the bottom of the cliffs to the car park, I prefer climbing up the steep path, at the top the views are stunning, you want to go left at the top and pick up the clifftop path opposite the big house, so you are heading back along the cliff tops, walk back approx half way, there is a viewpoint with a few car spaces, at this point pick the steep path down to the beach level then go right on the path back to the car park, on the way you will pass old cottages where Salmon fishermen used to live, store and repair their nets, this was one of the last places in the uk where nets were set up from the beach out into the sea to catch salmon at high tide which were then collected at low tide, you then pass the old Nether Kirkyard with lots of interesting grave stones to read, there are also old ruins and tales of grave robbers, the car park is only 5 minutes from here, this is an excellent walk with parts available for all abilities. There are plenty of benches and picnic tables along this walk, enjoy

Great for birds and the rest of wild life go to st cyrus view point for a great panoramic view of the whole area

Nice little place. Information on wildlife and nice walk along towards the cliffs and also there is a lovely path that takes you to the beach. Great to visit, places to park your car as well.

Absolutely stunning, whether you walk along the beautiful beach or at the bottom of the cliffs it's sure to be an enjoyable walk. Great birdlife along the cliffs.

Sweet place to visit. Nice views for photography spot. Opportunity for bird photographers. There's also walks to the beach, couple benches to relax. Almost always windy.
